Trump supporters react to presidential visit to Wisconsin

CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) – Trump supporters expressed their hope in president Trump to address affordability and agricultural costs.

“We, as farmers, need President Trump to help us. And I feel that that’s what he’s doing,” said Sherry Mohr, a Trump supporter at the roundtable.

Counter protesters gathered about one mile from the farm, raising concerns about affordability under the Trump Administration.

Brian Lewis, a Trump supporter at the roundtable, expressed disagreement with this stance.

“We just had that pretty bad administration just a couple years ago, where the inflation was out of control,” said Lewis, ”I feel like they don’t have great ground to stand on. “

Mohr said Trump’s visit to Wisconsin means a lot to her as a former farmer.

“He knows that farmers is the whole groundwork of Wisconsin and other states as well,” said Mohr, “We’re here to support him. And he’s here to support us.”

The roundtable featured candidates for the 2026 mid-term election, like Tom Tiffany. Supporters at the event, said they hope to see more conservatives in office.

“If it does go that way, it could be the greatest two years for the president to get the most bills passed,” said Lewis.
