Trump says 45K guests attend Great American State Fair rally

President Donald Trump touted what he described as a crowd of at least 45,000 people at his Great American State Fair rally in Washington, D.C. earlier this week, while also urging supporters to attend a larger Fourth of July celebration that is slated to feature an expanded military display and patriotic festivities.

In a pair of social media posts on Thursday, Trump called the rally, which was held the previous night, a great success. He said guests stayed through the end of his speech “because they loved hearing about a truly successful America.”

“The crowd was incredible last night, packed to the brim,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “At least 45,000 people were there, with a huge television and online audience.”

The White House has not independently released attendance figures for the event, and Trump’s estimate could not immediately be verified.

The president also promoted a July 4 event that’s set to be held in Washington, promising what he described as the largest and most impressive military flyovers yet.

“The military flyovers will be the best, EVER — the most planes, the newest planes, the fastest planes,” Trump wrote, adding in a separate post that there will be “hundreds of Planes, of different types, sizes, and speeds.”

Trump also said the event is set to start in the afternoon and wrap up just before midnight.

“I will be speaking at approximately 9 P.M., preceding the Fireworks which again, like the Airshow, will be approximately ten times larger than any Fireworks in the History of our Country,” Trump wrote in a third post on Friday. “So, if you like Airplanes and Fireworks and President Trump, be there!”
