An Israeli soldier was killed in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
Master Sergeant Alexander Filin, 29, was killed in combat, the IDF said. Seven other soldiers and officers were injured in the same incident and evacuated to hospital for medical treatment, the IDF said early Thursday.
The agreement between Iran and the US, which went into effect Wednesday, ends all military operations, including in Lebanon.
Israel has carried out widespread strikes in the country which it says have targeted the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.
Israeli attacks have killed 3,756 people and injured 11,632 others in Lebanon since March 2, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported on Saturday.
